Spent the day looking for James Koen’s grave for Shirley. I found the Indian Cemetery and the Islamic Cemetery and finally what I believed to be the European Cemetery.
In all cases the cemeteries were in poor shape. If the headstone contained a bronze plaque, that was long gone and sold for scarp metal so nearly all the graves were anonymous.
The European cemetery was completely destroyed with just a few blocks and rubble where there where once graves.
There was one notable exception where a single grave remained mainly intact, minus plaque, and is now used as sleeping accommodation.
