Got up and had breakfast, packed up camp and left for Victoria Falls. The line of trucks waiting to get through is amazing. They have a staging area about 5 miles before you get to the border where there is a line of trucks for about a mile waiting. Then at the border another long line of about half a mile waiting in line. We needed past them to the car parking lot. Gerald found a tout who waited in line to process the import papers for the vehicle for us. Cost us $50 for his services but it was worth it as the line for immigration was not very long or barely moved. Two and a half hours later we were through immigration and our tout was through customs and had all the import papers and we were on our way. Speed limit its 80kmh so it takes forever to get anywhere when when the road was good. Arrived in Vic Falls and took a thirty minute helicopter ride over the falls that was fantastic. Just Gerald and I and the pilot. Quite amazing to see the falls that way. I had the front seat, Gerald had the whole back seat so could flip from side to side. Tried to work out something with Lliam and his group. They were in Hwange but we had no idea where. We called the Safari Lodge and they had a booking, but not until the 28th in for days time. We were going to go and camp with them in Hwange and then go back through Pandamatenga. Not knowing where they were, we returned to Senyati where we had a campsite booked and paid for. Watching the Elephants come down to the water hole there were a lot of young calves, but one was so tiny it looked like it had been born lost night. The nurse Elephants were so protective of the young calf it was difficult to get photos. There was a lot of trumpeting and screaming as they would not allow any of the other Elephants near the baby. The nurses went into the water hole and pushed and shoved all of the other Elephants out the way before the mother and one nurse came down with the baby between them to drink. We know think we know what all the noise s yesterday. I think the lions wanted sushi and the mother and her nurses were not prepared to serve it up. Trip back was uneventful
